Tidelock Command

★★★★★ 4.5 Editor rating

Tidelock Command asks you to think in layers. You manage supply lines, decide which islands to defend, and plan routes around weather that changes between turns. It starts tiny, with one rusty boat, and grows into something you genuinely have to juggle.

What I appreciate is how readable it stays on a small screen. The developers clearly fought to keep the interface clean, and it pays off. You can plan an entire turn with a thumb while the map stays legible. There's an undo button for moves that haven't committed, which saved me from more than a few dumb mistakes.

It's deliberate, not flashy. If you want explosions every thirty seconds this isn't it. But if you like chewing on a plan over several sessions, it's a quietly excellent pocket strategy game.
